Keystone, Colorado - Over the past 6 months, the Town of Keystone has been working cooperatively with the developers of the Brightwood residential development project, which is underway at the southeast corner of West Keystone Road and US Highway 6, to finalize plans to install a new eight-foot-wide sidewalk of approximately 1000 feet in length along eastbound US Highway 6. This sidewalk is the Town’s first step for improving pedestrian safety and connectivity within the Town of Keystone and would put in place a key sidewalk segment between West Keystone Road and Keystone Lodge, which connects to the Summit Stage’s Keystone Lodge bus stop.  The Town’s goal is to expand this pathway along US Highway 6 throughout the entire town.

Construction of the sidewalk is expected to begin in late Spring or early Summer of 2025, pending approval from the Colorado Department of Transportation.  The sidewalk will be constructed by the development team at Brightwood and maintained by the Town of Keystone year round.
