Finance Department

The Finance Department manages the Town of Keystone’s financial operations, including budgeting, accounting, accounts payable, tax collection, and financial reporting. We aim to ensure transparency, accuracy, and fiscal responsibility in all town financial matters.

  • Invoice Submission Deadline: 2nd Tuesday of each month
  • Council Approval: 4th Tuesday of each month

To ensure timely processing, please submit all invoices by the stated deadline. Late submissions may be held until the next approval cycle.

The Town of Keystone does not levy a property tax.

The total sales tax rate in Keystone is 6.375%, broken down as follows:

  • 2.9% State of Colorado
  • 2.0% Summit County
  • 0.75% County Mass Transit Tax (Summit Stage)
  • 0.725% Special District Tax (Summit Combined Housing Authority)

In addition, the Town of Keystone imposes a 2% lodging tax on short-term accommodations. Click here for full information on the Town's lodging tax and the collection process.  

On December 10, 2024, the Town Council adopted the 2025 Budget.
