Generally, the liquor license process for a new license may take up to four months to complete, depending on the type of application. Get in contact with the Town Clerk's Office as far in advance of your intended opening date to insure that you receive your license in time.
Liquor licensing follows a two-tier approval process in Colorado. License applications are first submitted to the Town's Local Licensing Authority (Town Council) for approval and then forwarded on to the State of Colorado's Liquor Enforcement Division. More information about their processes can be found on their website.
Collect all of the documents outlined below and then schedule an intake appointment with the Town Clerk's Office to review and submit your liquor license application.
Please do not submit any documents to the Clerk's Office via e-mail. In order to protect the information provided in your application, the Town Clerk's Office will send a secure document link for submission of application materials.
At your appointment with the Town Clerk's Office, we will ensure that all of the necessary documents have been submitted and provide you with a timeline for next steps.
